1. Subject matter
consented.eu provides a consent management platform with which website operators can collect, manage and document consent. Use is free of charge.
2. No legal advice
The service is a technical tool for implementing data protection requirements. It does not create legal compliance and does not replace legal advice. Which services require consent, which texts are appropriate and which legal basis applies is decided by, and is the responsibility of, the operator of the respective website.
3. Obligations of the user
The user ensures that the details they enter about services, purposes and retention periods are accurate, and that they are authorised to dispose of the domains they add.
4. Availability
No particular availability is guaranteed for a free service. If you need guaranteed availability, you can host the same software yourself — that is what the source code is for.
5. Fair use
There are no feature limits and no domain limits. If a single installation noticeably degrades the service for others, we get in touch first instead of throttling without a word.
6. Data processing
For the consents collected through the banner we act as a processor. The data processing agreement under Art. 28 DSGVO is part of these terms and is available separately.
7. Termination
The account can be deleted at any time. Consents already recorded are kept until the retention period expires, because they serve as proof — on request they are deleted immediately.
